mini

I am thrilled with the response I’ve received about my mini holiday sessions!! Thank you, thank you!! I’ve finalized the locations and wanted to answer a few questions too.

Dates and Locations:
Saturday, September 27th: Hyde Park Village
Saturday, October 11th: Tampa Performing Arts Center
Saturday, October 25th: University of Tampa

All three locations are a great mix of mature trees, green grass, beautiful landscape, brick and stairs. They all off great shaded areas as well.

Q & A:
Q: I will need more than 50 holiday cards, can I order more?
A: No way. Just kidding… Definitely! My custom holiday cards with envelopes are sold in quantities of 25 for $50. So, you can add on as many packages of 25 as you need. I don’t know about you, but my list seems to grow every year!!

Q: What if I want to book a session in November or December, will I be able to receive my holiday cards in time?
A: The cut off date for my holiday sessions is November the 1st to ensure delivery in time for the holidays. I will be scheduling sessions in November and December, but I can not guarantee delivery for the holidays.

Q: Will your custom products be available for purchase as well?
A: Yes! My custom products such as gallery wrapped canvases and storyboards will be available.

Q: Are you offering a complimentary custom storyboard to those who book a mini session by July 31st as well?
A: I am! The offer is for any family who books their session by July 31st.

Ready to book your session?
You can contact me through the contact form on my blog or on my website. Mini sessions will begin at 9:30 a.m. on all three dates and will continue throughout the day, every 30 minutes. A $50 deposit is required to reserve your spot.

Ok, now back to summer…

cozy little one

Being folded in half is probably not your idea of cozy, but my sweet little nephew seemed quite comfortable! If it wasn’t for the rain and the mosquitos, I think he could have stayed there for a while.

I haven’t had a full session with Ty just yet… it’s been 10 minutes here and 30 minutes there, so there will be more images to come!! In the meantime though, enjoy these of my itty bitty guy!

out numbered…

…I say that jokingly because “J” (mommy-to-be again) and I were chatting during the session about how we could use a little extra estrogen in our homes. Ha-Ha!! Of course we followed it up with, “we wouldn’t change things for the world!” And, as you guessed it, “J” is expecting a boy and the countdown is on to meet this little guy. His big brother, “C” is so excited. He’s going to be the best big brother too, he was rubbing “J’s” tummy every chance he could get. It was so sweet! I’m looking forward to returning soon to meet their little bundle of joy! They’re such a wonderful family to work with!!

Thank you, “J,” “S” and “C” for such a fun morning!! See you soon…

Tis’ the Season

At the rate that the summer is flying by, the holidays will be here before we know it! With that being said, I am currently booking for the the fall and winter. I will be adding mini sessions to the mix for the holiday season, but will continue to book regular sessions as well… so the choice is yours!

The deadline for all holiday sessions to be completed is November 1st. All orders must be submitted by Friday, November 7th to ensure delivery for the holidays.

What’s a mini?
Mini sessions are a great way to go if you’re looking to update your family picture. They’re 20 minutes long and lots of fun! You will be shown 8-10 images in your private online gallery. Mini Sessions include 50 holiday cards (flat 5×7 or flat 5×5) with envelopes, one 8×10 and two 5×7 prints. They are $250. A $50 deposit is required to reserve your session date and time.

I have 3 Mini Session Dates available:
Saturday, September 27th
Saturday, October 11th
Saturday, October 25th

The location for each date will be announced in the next couple of days, so stay tuned.

Oh, and here is the story on custom storyboards…
I’m offering one complimentary custom 10×20 storyboard mounted on styrene to each family, who books a session with me by July 31st. Here’s a small sampling…

little love bugs

The VW is back and more fun than ever! It’s definitely a part of their family, despite my efforts to convince them to make it a part of mine. Hee-Hee! I’ve have totally fallen in love Ralphie!

As I was clicking away, I couldn’t help but to picture “C” and “K” ten years down the road… behind the wheel. They have a little sister on the way, so I am sure she will be in the mix too!

fresh baby

The Serra family just got a little bit bigger, my nephew, Ty, is finally here! He was born yesterday afternoon. As soon as he was in my arms, I didn’t want to let him go!! I am so thrilled for my sis-in-law and brother-in-law!! This little bundle was happily welcomed by his big sis and brother (not to mention his cousins too). Mommy and baby are doing wonderful and will be heading home in a couple of days!!

I was able to take a couple of quick pictures of him in the room before we lost the daylight. Ty hadn’t had his first bath yet so we had to keep him bundled in his hospital attire. He seemed so cozy! I’ll be doing his newborn session this weekend… I can’t wait!!

I love my sis-in-law… she always goes along with my wacky ideas. As I’m pulling the dry erase board off the wall and everyone is asking, “Kris, what are you doing?” she says, “I’ll hold it for you!” Thanks, Shelley!! xoxo

Heartbreak…

I’ll set the scene for you…

We’re in Target, looking at clothes for the boys when I see a Beatles t-shirt. I break up M & A’s merry-go-round around the rack of clothes long enough to show them the shirt. They’ve been big Beatles fans for as long as I can remember. They’re looking at the shirt when “M” asks, “who are these guys, Mommy?”… “where are the beetles?” I gently break the news that these are The Beatles. He says, “no, mom, these are guys, not The Beatles!” So, I had to explain that The Beatles are actually made up of guys and not beetles. I think it finally hit them when we talked about how small beetles actually are and that it was almost impossible for them to hold drum sticks and play a guitar. “M” was excited to get the shirt even though they weren’t “beetles,” but “A” couldn’t get past it. He just wanted to go home and wear his favorite Walrus shirt (yes, long sleeves and all in this hot, hot weather!).

My boys…

This Family Rocks!

Meet Atiya and her three awesome (and super adorable) kiddos! Oh my gosh, they were all so much fun to work with! Little “C” was full of smiles (I love those two little teeth of his) and big brother, “E” was rocking the guitar. What a helper too, we played musical chairs with their furniture and he was right there moving things around with me! Sweet little Little “B” was such a doll in her cute little tutu. I would dress all my little girlie girl clients like that if I could! I loved all of their outfits actually, Atiya’s too! She and her sister are the owners of Moms Rock On! I HEART their t-shirts!! If you haven’t checked them out yet, please stop by. You’ll want all of their t-shirts and you’ll be an instant member of their fan club for sure!!

So, on with the sneak peek…

Future Photographer

I love when the kiddos I work with ask to see their picture on my camera! I’m always amazed by how technologically hip they are!! Well, sweet little “K” didn’t just want to see her picture, she wanted to take the picture, all of the pictures! We had to do a little negotiation to get through the session and I’m pretty sure that Santa will be bringing a camera to “K’s” house this year. So, be on the look out for this up and coming photographer!! I know she is going to be amazing!!

Seeing this Cabbage Patch Kid brought back such fun memories. This one happen to be “K’s” mom’s when she was a child. Loved the matching dresses that her Aunt bought for them.
