I swear, after this session, I wanted to be a part of the family! The “P” family was so much fun! I love when my clients are up for anything, and they were! And, little Miss adorable, “E” is such a doll. I made them agree to be future models for me, so expect to be seeing them again in the near future!!
You might have noticed that I recently added Baby Girl Products to my list of “Links I Love.” It’s true, I love their products! Thanks to my sis-in-law, I recently had the pleasure of meeting Sarapage and Teresa, the faces behind this line of fabulous eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products. And, since our meeting, I’ve been testing out their products and I must say, they ROCK! Yes, I am excited about cleaning products! When they work as great as these do, as well as being eco-friendly, you just have to get excited!
Baby Girl Products is committed to families and the environment. The company and the products were created because of Sarapage’s passion to create a clean, yet safe environment for her family. Her passion and commitment to the environment is truly inspirational. It’s the simple steps that we can all do, like using Baby Girl Products that makes an impact. So, I am all about it!
We recently got together for a session to update their product and web images. It was my first time meeting the kiddos. They were a ton of fun to work with it and such troopers in this hot, hot heat!! We even were visited by a turtle during the session, he must have known the products were environmentally friendly. LOL!
The fabulous products (this brought me back to my childhood when I would pose my stuffed animals and take their pictures, ha-ha)…
Meet the faces and the inspiration behind Baby Girl Products…
These two adorable kiddos just celebrated their 4th and 2nd birthdays! So, we celebrated with a photo session. I brought flowers thinking they’d look so cute in the shopping basket, but little “I” had a different idea in mind. She took them out of the cart, said, “no” and put them on the ground. It was hilarious! I worked them into a couple of shots, but they stayed on the sidewalk for the most part. Poor flowers. LOL! We didn’t plan it, but I love how the walls and door (the only shaded area we could find) color coordinated with their outfits!
Happy Birthday, N & A!! xoxo
I just love when this happens… it was such a sweet moment.
The Kristie Serra Photography website will be here soon! I’ve been putting lots of hours into it and I am thrilled to be able to share it with you all… soon, very soon! And, if you love Frances England, like I do, you’ll be excited to know that I will be featuring some of her bright and beautiful music on my website.
I can’t leave you without a little sneak peek. The amazing, Melissa Zihlman, has designed my splashpage. It is actually up, so if you want to see it person, please visit the home of the Kristie Serra Photography website. Once the website goes live, the site link will be working.
You might be wondering what any of these have to do with one another and rightfully so! If you’re four years old and you live in my house, then you would know there is a direct correlation! And this is how it goes…
We were on our way home tonight, when we happened to see the most beautiful, vibrant rainbow. It was truly breathtaking and unfortunately, the camera was at home. The boys were so excited and were trying to guess where one end started and the other ended. Our conversation from that point on just had me cracking up for the rest of the ride…
“M” – “Mommy, there just has to be a pot of gold or a dancing leprechaun at the end of that rainbow!!” (pots of gold/leprechauns… this was a new one for us)
Me – “Well, maybe there is a pot of gold or a leprechaun waiting at the end, but do you know what rainbows really symbolize?”
“A” & “M” – “What, Mommy?”
Me – “Rainbows are a symbol of God’s promise.”
“A” & “M” – “Oh, we know that, Mom” (because they know everything)
“A” – “M,” if there is a Leprechaun waiting at the end, then E.T. is probably waiting there too. (E.T. is a recent obsession)
Me – “Hey, guys, how do you know that they’re waiting there?
“M” – “My heart tells me he’s there. Mom, where’s my heart? Here?” (pointing to his belly button)
Me – “Your heart is in your chest”
“A” – “How does God fit in there too?”
Me – “Ummm, he just does.”
“A” – You know who has a heart too?
Me – “Who?”
“A” – E.T.!
Me – “You’re right, he does”
“A” – “Mommy, you know what else?
Me – “What?”
“A” – God is in E.T.’s heart too!”
“M” – “A,” God is probably in the leprechaun’s heart too.” (I’m just cracking up at this point)
So, that’s the connection, if you were wondering! Ha-Ha!!
And, for those former E.T. fans, I thought I’d add a little clip. This was the very first movie that I can remember going to see in the little theater in our little town. And now, my four year old is a BIG fan! How does that happen?
These three are part super adorable kiddo and part super adorable monkey! I have so many images to share from their sessions, but I wanted to get a quick post on here for their mommy! xoxo
Big brother, “G,” the original sweet monkey, who happens to love monkeys as much as he loves to climb! I could seriously see him winning a gold medal in the Olympics! Summer games, here he comes!!
Sweet little “M,” who isn’t quite as monkey-ish as her big brother and twin sister. She’s too busy chatting to climb. I couldn’t get over her vocabulary!! She has so much too say and she has the sweetest little voice in the world!!
Sweet little “B” taking after big brother, “G!” We were in the grass and she made a total b-line for the tree, climbed it herself and that’s where she stayed! And, she’s only two! I think Mount Everest might be in her future!!
I know most of you are celebrating the awesome Fathers, Grandfathers, Husbands and Uncles in your lives today, so I wanted to take a minute or two to celebrate my hubby, who I have been calling “Bub” since the 10th grade!
He is so many things to me and our boys and everything to us! That’s why we love him so much!!
Happy Father’s Day, Bub (aka Daddy)!! We love you!! xoxoxo
Oh, the early days with the twins… We always had the brilliant ideas, like throwing caution to the wind and packing up the entire house to go on a picnic! What were we thinking?? As CRAZY as we were, I wouldn’t change it for the world!!
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there!!
Want to let your Dad or Hubby know how much he is loved? Check out these SUPER cute musical E-Cards for Dad from the mega talented, Frances England. If you haven’t heard her music, please go check out her work! I know you’ll become an instant fan, like me!!
They’re sweet, fun, a little bit of trouble just around the edges and boy, do they love their mamas! These two were anything but trouble for me! I knew we were going to have lots of fun as soon as I arrived at their home. I know I’ve said it before, but I love going to my clients’ homes for sessions. What a pleasure it is to be able to get a glimpse into their lives while capturing it for them to cherish for years to come. “E” and “E” were so excited to show me their bedrooms and all of their favorite toys! They made my job so easy!! Thanks, boys!!
A little bird’s eye view… I love this shot, cheese stick and all (Ha-Ha)
The boys and their beautiful mommy, who was such a fabulous assistant!!
A little peek-a-boo fun with the boys and a blanket… they were cracking up!!
It’s been a long wait, but “M” is home at last! His mommy and daddy have been waiting a long time for him and now that he’s finally in their arms, their family is complete. I can’t get over how well adjusted he is and how strong of a connection there is between mommy and her new baby boy! He was all smiles and giggles during his first photo session. We may have ourselves a little model in the making here.
Just 3 days old and she couldn’t get any sweeter or more beautiful. What an absolute love! I know “K’s” mommy and daddy (not to mention the grandparents, aunts and uncles) are thrilled to have her here!! I am too!! Her mommy is such a dear friend of mine, so I’ve been counting down the days for this little one’s arrival. She was so calm and peaceful during her session… thank you, “K!” xoxo
You’ve seen her before pictures back in March from “S’s” maternity session in Tampa, so now it’s time for the after…
As soon as I put “K” in her Mommy’s arm, she gave a little sweet smile…
This is one of my favorites from the session, it was totally inspired by the amazing, Amy Smith, who was even kind enough to email me some helpful hints on wrapping mom and baby together. Thanks, Amy!!
