WARNING: He’s a cutie!

Not only is he a cutie, but he’s also the next big thing in rock n’ roll! You should see him with his little guitar… he strums it a bit and then slams it around on the ground. He’s a total rocker at the age of one!! Watch out, Chris Daughtry!! Since we were having so much fun, we probably could have hung around downtown a little bit longer so he could have put on a little show.

Rock n’ roll wishes to the sweet and adorable, “J!” xoxo

Heartbreaker!

Yes, at almost one, this little guy is already breaking hearts!! He knows just how to work those gorgeous eyes and smile!! Good looks run in his family too because his older (four-legged) brother, Mosely (see the previous post), is quite the handsome guy also!

This was such a fun session!! I don’t know who had more fun… “L” or his mom and I?? I think it’s a tie!!

Happy (almost) Birthday, “L!” xoxo

House Guest

mosely_3.jpg

These are definitely not the paws of a Chihuahua!! These massive feet belong to our house guest, Mosely. We’ve had the pleasure of doggie-sitting him for our friends, Jess and Matt. It has been so. much. fun. having him with us these past few days!! What a love bug he is and so gentle too!! I think my boys are in love with him as much as I am… his almost empty treat bag is proof!!

Baby On Board!

This beautiful mommy-to-be is one of my oldest and dearest friends… we go back to high school days. Oh, the stories I could share, but I won’t because I don’t want to embarrass myself! It was her last weekend to fly, so she made it to Tampa for a quick visit! YEA! I hadn’t seen her since December, so it was so wonderful to see how much her little bump had grown (even though she’s still so tiny!). I talked her into a little maternity session in Ybor. It’s such a GREAT location for photography sessions (if you’re into an Urban setting). There is so much to explore, so the possibilities are endless! We had a blast and I think we might even end up in a few tourist’s slide shows from their trip to Tampa (Ha-Ha)!. As I was taking pictures, there were a few people across the street taking our pictures. You got to love the paparazzi!

So, any guesses on what she is having?? If you guessed an adorable “girl” ding, ding, ding you guessed correctly!! She’s actually due to arrive on my birthday at the end of May!! My fingers are crossed that she holds out until then, even though I know come early May, mommy-to-be is going to be ready to get her out of there! Whenever she arrives, I can’t wait to meet her and I will definitely be planning a trip up to Georgia to do so!

Lots of love to two of my favorite girls! XOXO

Fighting Irish

Ok, so we’re actually not Irish, but I thought it was an appropriate title for St. Patty’s Day and my little story.

My boys and I were driving home when their heated discussion began over Baxter the bunny (my “A’s” stuffed animal). So, this is how it went down…
“A”: You know, “M,” Baxter hopped out of the forest and that’s when Mommy found him.

“M”: “A,” that’s not possible, Baxter is a stuffed animal and stuffed animals don’t talk and they don’t hop and they don’t live in the forest!

“A”: Mommy, “M” doesn’t believe that Baxter hopped out of the forest, tell him that he did.

Me: “A,” if you believe Baxter hopped out of the forest, then that’s what happened and if Matthew doesn’t believe it, that’s ok.

“A”: See, “M,” Baxter did hop out of the forest!

“M”: That’s not what happened, “A.” What probably happened was that it was a really, really windy day and Mommy had her windows down in the car and the wind blew Baxter into Mommy’s car!!

“A”: NO, he hopped out of the forest!!

“M”: NO, it was windy!!!

“A”: He HOPPED!!!

“M”: It was WINDY!!!!

“A”: HE HOPPED!!!!

“M”: NO HE DIDN’T!!!!!

“A” then punches “M” right in the nose (yes, because of his beliefs about Baxter the bunny). Now, we’ve had a few WWF smack down wrestling matches, but never any boxing matches. This was a first! So, I pull over. “A” apologizes and then we have a big talk about people being entitled to their own thoughts, beliefs and opinions, that’s what makes the world so interesting, after all. The whole thing makes me laugh (it probably shouldn’t, but it does). I love that they are so strong willed (even though it’s maddening at times) and despite their connection that is indescribable, they believe what they believe! And, no identical twin brother is going to change that either!

Happy St. Patty’s Day to everyone!! Hopefully the only punch you had today, was Hawaiian Punch! Ha-Ha!!

Now, what would be a post without a picture or two?? So, here are my boys in a happier time at the park…

Sweet E!

Isn’t she though?? Trust me, she so is and she gets it from her mom (hehe, ok, her dad too)!! Her super sweet mom, who happens to be one of my dearest friends had me over to capture the life and times of the sweet and adorable E, who recently celebrated her first birthday! We had a fun and busy morning doing all the things she loves to do. By the way, one year olds are so busy!! Her best buddy, Carly, even got in a few of the pictures. Oh how she LOVES her doggie!

E and E, thanks for a fun morning!! Love you, girls!! XOXO

Bark in the Park 2008

I wanted to share an exciting event with all the animal lovers out there…

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay 21st Annual Bark in the Park -Fundraising Walk for Animals is coming up on Saturday, March 22nd at Al Lopez Park (in Tampa). Registration, demonstrations and sponsor/vendors open at 8:30am. The one mile walk begins at 10am. There will be a pet costume contest immediately after the walk. Activities continue until noon.

This is definitely a fun event for the whole family (four-legged family members too!). So, if you’re interested in checking it out, please come and join us! This will be our third year attending!

A little about the charity… The Humane Society of Tampa Bay is dedicated to the welfare of all animals because of their intrinsic value and rights. Its primary purposes are the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals, the extension of humane education and the provision of shelter-based services. Their funding comes solely from donations, program fees, grants, and special event fundraising.

The donations collected for this event help the Humane Society of Tampa Bay proved:

  • Shelter, food, spay/neuter services and medical care to the thousand of animals relinquished to them yearly.
  • A pet adoption program.
  • Low cost spay/neuter clinic.
  • “Animeals” – More than 12,000 pounds of dog, cat and bird food have been delivered last year to homebound, elderly and/or disabled participants. The pet food is delivered each month by Humane Society of Tampa Bay volunteers.
  • Community Outreach- Kritter Kamp, Great American Teach-In and Monthly Microchip Clinics.
  • Lost/found pet service.
  • Assistance with the hurricane relief efforts.

If you’re interested in making a donation, you can do so by using the little box to the left under “My Heart” or by visiting my Firstgiving page, http://www.firstgiving.com/kristieserra. All donations are secure and sent directly to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. No amount is too small!

I want to THANK those who have already joined me in supporting the efforts of the Humane Society to help the animals in our community!! Your support means the world to me and the Humane Society of Tampa Bay!!

My Mom Rocks!

This came from my client’s son and I’d have to agree with him because his mom totally ROCKS!! It was another wonderful session filled with laughter, sweet moments and some tree climbing too! Capturing the interactions between the two of them was a special experience for me. Their connection is so strong and working with them was a blast! Have I mentioned how much I love what I do??

Nutty Buddies

How’d they get so nutty? Probably their dad! Ha! Ok, if you know me, then you know they are a lot like me! Yes, these are my boys, who usually run in the opposite direction of my camera, but not this time! We found a neat street during our drive towards downtown, so I had to take advantage of the moment. In between pictures, we played on the sidewalk with their dinosaurs and the 1,000 cars they brought along. Fun. Fun. Oh, I love my nutty boys!!

Pretty Girl

Oh, YES! she is and I’d like to add adorable, sweet, fun and FAST to the list too! Maybe they can be added to the back of the shirt? I loved working with little “Ms. I!” There was no stopping her! She’d fall (tutu and all) and she’d be back up one second later, like nothing ever happened! And, let me tell ya, this little one really knows how to work a hug too! I told her mommy that she was in for some serious trouble in a few years!!

Love the tutu? My very talented and creative friend, Erin, designed and created it. If you’re interested in contacting her, please email me.
